Thursday update...

We are home from the clinic. Mike's procedure went fine, and aside from some diverticulitis, he is good. The Dr said to add more fiber to his diet.

I have a bladder infection. The Dr prescribed Ciprofloxacin. I took the first dose before I read the information sheet(s)! It has some really bad possible side affects, including photo-sensitivity, and possible tendon damage! If I hadn't been in a hurry to get started on treatment, I would have gone back and spoken to the Dr about a different treatment. How am I supposed to avoid sun exposure, and exercise, when I have horses and other livestock to feed, and I'm working Friday-Sunday, sitting in a parking lot, on a horse?

Key word there is "possible." A lot of those things will happen in a very small percentage of people who take the meds. Just take things easy while your body fights off the bugs and you should be just fine. And drink lots of water to flush things out!

The drug experts say that antidepressants will make teens more likely to want to commit suicide: nope, actually they made me feel much better and I've been off them for years now. Unfortunately, the drug I took also had a side effect (the VERY LAST ONE LISTED) of hot flashes. I was feeling menopausal, and to this day I prefer colder environments.

Well, after 3 days, and 6 doses, I started with severe runs, which is never good, but sitting on a horse in a mall parking lot, it is really bad. I called the clinic, and the Dr on call said that I could discontinue the drug, and if my symptems returned, they would prescribe something else. So Far, so good...
