Friday evening 11/30/07

Today has been a very busy day. I fed horses, fixed the base to a shelf unit, killed some ants, hauled my trailer to the house and, with help from my son-in-law, loaded up our buggy and the frame of a 2 wheeled cart, and took it back to the farm. After dropping the trailer, I drove to the feed store, bought feed, returned to the farm, unloaded the feed, and put away my bedding, then returned home to meet with a man about re-doing the kitchen cabinets.

On another note, here is a comparison between myself and my big brother, King Richard the Smooth.

Wednesday evening

Well, I've made it through my 6th chemo treatment. All went well, and I stopped at the beauty parlor to get my head shaved, and get fitted for a wig. What do you think?

I posted more pictures on my "my space page", go to Lorraine Fraser page and click on view my pics, and check out Cancer Hair

Tuesday 11/27

I had a root canal done today. What a circus! It was scheduled for 10:00 AM. Anyone who knows me can tell you I'm not a morning person, and the office is a good 30-35 min. drive away. Pulled out of the drive at 9:10, and took the beltway as the fastest route. Arrived at 9:45. Filled out 3 pages of paperwork, as a new patient. Waited. 10:30, another patient arrives, and is ushered in. Asked at desk, what gives?
I'm told he is just here for a consult, and the Dr is still working on a patient. Waited. Waited. Finally called back at about 11:00. X-rayed tooth, set up treatment room. Dr comes in. I'm old enough to be his mother. He sits down, chats about my cancer, treatment, etc. He asks for a written release from my oncologist for the root canal. I don't have it, or the number for him. He takes his name, and goes to make a call. Waited. He comes in, sits down and says that the Dr isn't available, and his nurse can't OK the procedure, so we need to reschedule. I'm dumbfounded by this time. The dentist says that he will work me in tomorrow if I can get the release faxed to him during my treatment, but he won't do it without. I can understand, but I was all psyched to get this over with today...

I leave to drive home, 1/2 way there I receive a call from the nurse in Dr Pusztai's office. His meeting is over, if I can give her the fax number, she can send the written OK for the root canal. I pull off the hwy, write down the number, turn the car around, and drive back to the dentist. Long story short, I got it done!!!

Monday evening

I'm posting pictures of my hair taken weekly on the day of my chemo until this last week, when I was too sick to pose. I've made up for it by pulling out tufts of hair on Sunday.

Monday Thinning hair

Here are a few pictures of the state of my hair. Up until 11/17/07, my hair wasn't showing any signs of falling out. Starting on that day, it has snowballed. Today, when I took my shower, I had a large clump of hair in the drain filter when I was done. I took these pictures myself, to show how thin it is.

Sunday evening

Just returned from the farm. The rain finally stopped at about 3:00. The wind never stopped, but with the rain finished, we moved the horses, after feeding them, back into their field for the night.

My daughter's storage unit is almost empty. One more trip should do it.

We stopped at the store and bought food, and cooked hot dogs over an open camp fire. We had chili cheese dogs, and toasted marshmallows, for Som'ors. The tasted great. We also heated water for hot chocolate. We watched the sun go down, without seeing any sign of the 'gator. It was too cold.

My hair is getting very thin. On Wednesday, I'll visit the beauty shop at MDACC and they will shave it for me and fit me for a free wig. Thanks to my friend Janet, I have a really cool fur hat to keep my head warm.

Here are a few pictures from the farm. Several of my son-in law's Friends came out with their guns, and shot up some old fence posts, out by the pond.

Saturday 5:15 PM

We just returned from the farm. It is very cold, windy, and wet out there! We let the horses into the area around the barn, so that they could use the barn as a wind break. Several of them were shivering in the cold, even after eating, and they all got a little extra to help them maintain their core body temp.

We hooked up the generator, and it works. Yeah!!! We also moved the radial arm saw out of the back corner of the barn, so when our daughter moves her stuff in, we can use the saw for whatever we need it for and won't have to move stuff around to get to it. We brought the trailer home so we can move stuff out to the farm tomorrow, and they'll save having to pay storage fees for December.

I'm feeling much better. I think I've about got this bug licked.

Friday evening

I'm much better tonight. The area of redness around my port is smaller than it was last night, or even this morning. My temp. is down to near normal. My energy level is rising.

My daughter, son-in-law, and grandson moved some stuff out of their storage unit, out to the farm, and moved stuff around in the barn to make room for the rest of their stuff. This will save them $75.00 per month, and help when we are ready to move, as their stuff will already be out there. They looked for the 'gator, but it was too cold, and it wasn't seen.

My husband braved the black-Friday crowds to buy us a generator, to use at the farm now, and as a back-up for later, as we will have a well and require electric power to pump water. Whoo Hoo, no more feeding horses in the dark!!!

Friday morning

I'm feeling better this morning. My fever is down, and so far I've been able to take the antibiotic without stomach upset.

Yesterday was very bad. My head hurt, my neck hurt, and I was burnung up. By the time I made it home, I was feeling a little better, and was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

I'm taking it easy today, and I hope I'm able to resume normal activities tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thursday

I spent most of the day in the MDAnderson ER. I woke up with a fever of 101.8. Mike drove me down to the ER. We checked in at 11:20. The Dr said it looks like celulitus. She gave me IV antibiotics, and changed my prescription to Augmenton. I have no appetite, and a headache. I need to watch the area around my port for more redness, and swelling.

Wednesday night, late

I'm feeling sick. I'm having moderate diarrhea, chills, and achy joints. I checked the side effects of the drugs I'm taking, and it could be the Taxol or the Keflex. If I'm still feeling bad in the morning, I'm calling MDACC emergency room, and see what they say. I can't find my thermometer, so I don't know if I have a fever or not. I didn't earlier, and can't see how I would spike a fever after starting on antibiotics. I'm heading to bed. I hope I can sleep.

Wednesday evening

Had my 5th chemo treatment today. Things went better this week. No blood clots, or problems with the central line. Arrived at 7:55 for an 8:00 blood draw. Met with Dr. Asked about HER-2 and Estrogen receptors. Turns out my tumor tested negative for both of them and progesterone.

I got the results of my CT scan. I have some small scars/ calcification spots in my lungs, but no sign of cancer. I also have a kidney stone, and a small cyst on my kidney, but again, no sign of cancer. They want to re-do the test in 6 months to make sure there is no change.

I asked the Dr about any possible changes in treatment, due to my tumor shrinking. She said, most likely I will finish all 24 weeks of chemo,(12 weeks Taxol, then, 4 rounds, 3 weeks long, of FAC ) and then have surgery, just as outlined at the start.

I'll meet with Dr Pusztai in 2 weeks, and can ask him any other questions I may have. I'm taking Keflex for 7 days because there is a bit of redness around my port, from last week, and she wants to make sure to stop any possible infection ASAP.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Tuesday night

I've had my bath, and dinner. Twinky had her's too. The shoer showed, and the engineer, but my friends couldn't make it. They will try again this weekend. I posted several pictures of my new dog.

Tomorrow is my 5th chemo treatment and I meet with the Dr. for the first time since treatment was started. I'll report any news when I get home.

Tuesday

I got my dog last night. She is very sweet! Her name was Bubble Monster, but I've changed it to Twinkle Toes. She is black, with a large white patch on her chest, and white toes on all 4 feet. One ear is trying to stand up, and the other is folded over, like a lab's. She is only about 35 lbs. right now, but at 4 months she still has some growing to do.

I'm spending the day at the farm today. I'm taking Twinky with me. My horse shoer is coming this morning, and I have an engineer coming this afternoon, to draw up a plan for the septic system. I also have friends coming out to see the place sometime this afternoon.

I'll take my camera, and take pictures of Twinky checking the place out.

I'm tired this morning, but plan on stoking up on caffeine, to keep me going. More later.

I'm back from the farm. Here are a few pictures of "Twinky". She was a good girl. She didn't bark at the horses or cows, and came when I called her. She is very sweet. I'm very tired, and I need a shower.

Monday...

I am sooo tired! I have no energy. I drank a diet coke with caffeine this morning, hoping to get a boost, and still don't have the energy to do more than walk from the computer to the couch. I was going to go grocery shopping for Thanksgiving, but I'm so tired, that when my son-in law offered to go for me this evening, I took him up on it. I'm going to drag myself over to the couch now, and read my book, with my feet up. I hate being this tired. I'm used to having all kinds of energy, and being on the go all the time.

My hair is starting to come out. I still have a full head of hair, but if I pull on it, it comes out in my fingers. It won't be long now before I'm bald.

I may be getting a dog. I've been talking about getting a puppy when we move to the farm. Well, my daughter called me this morning. She knows someone with a 4 month old lab mix. She is spayed, house broken, has all her shots, and is crate trained. The woman has 2 dogs, and her apartment complex is making her get rid of one. This sounds like the perfect dog for me. She is started on obedience training, and is housebroken. I was waiting till we moved because I didn't want to clean up after a puppy while trying to get a house ready to sell. This puppy is house-broken and spayed already, but is still young enough to form a good bond with a new owner. I've really missed having my own dog.

Sunday evening

We are home. It was a long couple of days. We arrived at the event at 1:00, only to find out that the only 2 other riders had ridden a small course, and taken the toys down already. We hauled Indy and he never got ridden.

We wandered around, visited with friends, did some shopping, and set up our camp. My hair has started falling out. I knew it was coming, but not when.

We went to court, and grabbed some food, then went to sleep, only to wake some time later to the sound of rain on the trailer roof. It rained most of the night, with thunder and lightening part of the time. I felt sorry for Indy, tied between two trees, but not badly enough to try and do anything about it.

This morning, we got up around 8:3o, found a tavern selling breakfast, grabbed a bite, and started taking down our camp. We left the site at 12:10.

We drove out to the farm and Indy was very glad to be back with his friends. My daughter, son-in-law, and grandson met us out there, and went riding with Amy, who is keeping her horses there with us.

The bottom picture also shows the alligator's head in the pond. Click on the picture, and look at the dark spot in the water.

It is beautiful and peaceful out there.

Sat. AM

We are off to an SCA event this morning! I'll post when we get back tomorrow.

Friday, November 16, 2007

Friday evening

I worked yesterday, for the first time since we moved the horses to the farm. This has added 60 miles to my daily trip to work, for a round trip of 100 miles, vs 30 miles before. When we are living out there it won't be much of a problem, but as long as we are still living in town, it would make for a very long day, if I drove back to the house after work.

I drove down to the farm, fed the horses, and the cats, hooked up the trailer, turned the horses back out, loaded Rosie, locked up and drove 50 miles to work. Bathed, and saddled up, worked 8 hours, unsaddled, drove 50 miles, unloaded horse, turned her loose, and set up my cot in the barn, crawled into my sleeping bag, after changing my clothes, as it was going down to 43 degrees F, and sleeping in your clothes is guaranteed to freeze you before morning.

This morning, I fixed the fence where an insulator had pulled out of a post, walked the fence, checking for other possible problems. The horses seemed to think I should feed them, but I waited till afternoon, so Indy, who was coming home with me, could be fed first.

I put a new bottom in an old tack trunk, set up a set of shelves, patched the rusty bolts on the old boat, took pictures of a flock of water birds, and tried to put up an overhead cabinet, but I needed another person to help. I had to stop often, to eat, rest, or drink something, but it was very peaceful, and satisfying.

Then I fed the horses, and cats, fixed Indy's feed for tomorrow, cleaned out the trailer, and did some touch up painting inside, as well as putting up the Plexiglas, for winter.

Then I had to turn out the horses again, except for Indy, who is going to an SCA event with Mike and I tomorrow. I loaded him into the trailer, and he started having a temper tantrum.

He reared up and stuck his leg thru his feed bag full of one n only, and broke his halter. He proceeded to pawing and throwing himself around in the trailer.

I had to unload, him and remove the feed bag from his leg, load him back up, and drove home. He is loose in the locked trailer tonight, with feed and water. I'll have to unload him, so that I can let him pee,and remove the bucket, before we head out in the morning.

I'm heading tfor a shower now, and dinner, before packing for tomorrow.

Wednesday evening

What a day... It started out OK. We made it to MDACC in time for my blood test at 8:30. Went up to the 8th floor for my chemo scheduled for 10:30. They called me back at 10:30, but couldn't get a blood return on my PAS port. They tried heparin, and tried a longer needle, but no go. The had to order a drug for dissolving blood clots. It is used for heart attacks, and strokes, in the first few hours. I can't remember the name, but it was 3 initials, starting with 'T'. This took time, because they had to get Dr's approval, and order it from the pharmacy, then administer it and wait 60 min. for it to do it's thing. By this time, it was 12:30.

Mike has had a rash for the last few days, and it was troubling. It looked like poison ivy rash, but didn't itch, and though we had been working at the farm last weekend, I hadn't seen any sign of the P.I. plant.
I made an appointment for Mike to see our regular Dr this afternoon, at 3:30. It soon became apparent that I wouldn't be finished in time for him to make his appointment. I sent him on, and he made it. Good thing too... He has shingles!!

I spoke to a nurse about preventing me from getting it from him, and it may already be too late. Time will tell.

Meanwhile, My daughter and son-in-law both have been coughing for months. They went to see their Dr today. My son-in law may have CO PD, and my daughter is allergic to the world! They have taken her off of wheat, corn, soy, several kinds of nuts, and peanuts.

Very busy and exhausting day! We picked up Mike's prescriptions on our way back from MDACC, and picked up food for dinner for everyone.

The horses won't get fed till tomorrow morning, due to wide spread exaustion, but they should be fine. They have plenty of grass to eat, and lots of water.

I need to go and eat now.

Tuesday night

It was AMy's turn to feed the horses. Here is what she sent me. enjoy
Laura

K, just so's ya know, feeding after dark is a BITCH! It was pitch -
PITCH - black out. Raven was first up - no problem, since Shiloh was
fending everyone else off. Shiloh came up next, then the Nipper.

Birdie.... well, the Bird was NASTY. Pushy, lunging ahead to get the
bucket, generally ignoring my increasingly growly warnings... after
the smacking, then after ANOTHER smacking, he settled down and walked
behind me instead of on TOP of me... although he was WAY behind me. He
got lots of praise for straightening up, and a bucket too! Rosie was
very dainty about the whole affair, but Indy wouldn't come near me.
NuhUH.

"Cows....COWS!!!!!! OMG, they're all over there by the gate! OMG, I
can't go over THERE!!! Sure, you put the halter on while I watch
them cows, make sure they don't get us...

What?!?!? I gotta go over there? Are you CRAZY lady? They're gonna
get... wait a minute. They just ran away from me. Hmmm. Hey! they ran
away again! COOL. Take THAT, you dumb cows! OMG, HURRY before they
come back!"

What a freaking GOOBER.

I also HIGHLY recommend turning off the fence, as they WILL hit the
wire going through the gate. Didn't happen tonight, but I'm sure it
will. Everyone ate very well, and quickly. Rave had a little left over
as did Shi and Nip, but it was mere handfuls. Indy was very distressed
when he went out first, and those sneaky beastly COWS were still
hanging around... but Birdie was VERY good going back out - his nose
didn't poke past my shoulder even once, and he got lots of good boys.
Rosie just stood there when I pulled her halter off.

The ferals were messy but very calm. I think Annie hissed once, and I
changed out everyone's food and water. Nermy was perched atop "her"
hay. She wasn't inclined to come down to see me, but she was glad for
some loves and hugs, seemed very relaxed.

Um, did I mention it was REALLY dark? That little moonglower can
really cast some light - I hung it by the feeding stations and had
enough light to avoid the roll of fence by the gate (gotta move THAT
soon) but we "got'er done" and the kids seem to have caught on to the
routine and knew they had to eat fast.

I also tried to get the bigger stuff out of the trailer, you should be
able to load a horse with little effort.

Amy

Tuesday

I called a septic system company today and found out that I have to have an engineer draw a plan for the company to use for the system. This is a requirement of Ft. Bend County. I have an appointment with an engineer for next Tuesday at the property, to lay out where we want to put the mobile homes and the septic system.

I've been sitting around most of the day today. I'm very tired today. I went to the grocery store for about an hour.I'm really dragging.

I spoke to my Dr's nurse today about seeing the Dr this week instead of next. She said that it was good news that my tumor is shrinking, but that there is no reason to move up my appointment. I'll have my regular blood work and chemo tomorrow, and meet with the Dr next week.

My tumor is now about the size of a small walnut, or a large almond in it's shell. In just 4 weeks it has shrunk from 8mm to less than 4mm.Yeah!!!

Monday, November 12, 2007

Monday evening

I found a new way to the farm. It shaves 3-4 miles off the trip, and is quicker, too. Instead of 31 miles, it is 27 miles from house to farm.

The horses are doing great! They all ate their food tonight, instead of 1/2 of them being too interested in getting back to the field, to eat.

I moved Nermal out to the farm today, and we finally got the hot wire hooked up. I left my horse trailer out there, as I won't need it again until Thursday.

I called the power company today. It will be 48 hours before I can call the service provider, but I have my ID number. I don't know how much it will cost, but I'm going to have electric at the farm ASAP.

I'm calling around tomorrow to get some idea how much a septic system will cost, and I need to call well companies to see what we need to do to get the well up and working. It is only 90 feet deep, and needs to be much deeper if we are going to drink the water.

We have named the farm Little Moon Farm, after my first horse.

Monday, AM

It has been a slow morning. I'm dragging a bit. Not much energy. Was up late last night. I went to bed, took benadryl, but couldn't fall asleep, so got back up, wrote several emails, ate a banana, and was finally able to sleep.

I'm heading back out to the farm after taking down saddle racks from our old tack room.

Sunday, November 11, 2007

Sunday evening 11-11

Well, we are almost out of the stables. I have to take a drill with a screwdriver bit on it out there tomorrow, and take down the saddle racks in our tack room, Last thing will be to pack up the cats, and load them in the trailer. We loaded everything else into the trailer this evening.

We took one full trailer load out there today, unloaded it, did a little repair work on the fence, where Mike cut the hot wire yesterday, fed the horses, and found a slightly shorter way home.

I'm trying a different way tomorrow, to see if I can shave more time /distance off the drive. After we, (Amy Jones and me) unload the trailer, I'll unhitch it, and drive the truck home.

The horses are very happy. We brought them up to feed them and 3 of the 6 didn't finish their grain. They wanted back out in the field.

I'm a little tired tonight, but it has been a busy weekend.

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Saturday PM, horses are at the farm

All the horses are at the farm. We still have a bunch of stuff to move from the stables, but the horses are moved.

I have ridden over my land for the first time. It was awesome! I saw the alligator that we were told lived in the long pond. It is most likely about 7-8 feet long.
We still don't have electricity, but we have 2 solar shed lights, so if we have to be there at night we have a little light in the barn.

Indy was scared for a short time, but the grass seemed to overcome his fear. When we brought them in to feed them, he was covered in mud, where he had rolled.
I'm tired! I need a bath, a Darvon, and some dinner, in that order. We will be back out there tomorrow, after loading up the truck and trailer with a much of the rest of our stuff as we can fit.

Friday, November 9, 2007

Friday evening

well, 3 horses are in residence at the farm. We took the 2 mares, Rosie and Raven, along with Birdie, out to the farm. We got there right at dusk, and turned them into the pasture while there was enough light for them to see the fences. After we turned the trailer around, before it was too dark to see the driveway, we caught the horses, and fed them, then turned them back out for the night. They were very happy eating grass, and weren't the least bit afraid of the cows. It will be different tomorrow, because Indy IS afraid of the cows. I'll take lots of pictures, and post them.

Friday afternoon

I'm off to move some horses soon. I'm feeling a little shaky, as in hand tremors. I don't know if it is from Chemo or the steroids given before the taxol.
I had to call in a refill of my pain medication. I'm not allowed to take any over the counter pain med, due to the fact that they can mask a fever, and so I have to take Darvon for pain. I don't like the way it make s me feel, so I only take it if I can't stand the pain, or if I'm not going anywhere except to bed, or if someone else is driving me somewhere. I'm used to taking Tylenol, or Aliev, if I'm hurting, and this sucks, as I have bursitis in my hips, some minor arthritis in my hands, get sinus headaches, and back pain just from my top heavy conformation. They won't let me take my joint suppliment, that helped with everything except the back pain, as it is muscle related.

Thursday

I worked today for the first time since 10/21. I rode Indy and had him decorated for Christmas, cause the center where I work was filming an info-mercial for release during the Christmas shopping season.

I was fine most of the day, but a 10 hour day is too long when you haven't been in the saddle for 3 + weeks.

Clearly I made the right decision in working on Thursday instead of Tuesday. Right after chemo instead of right before.

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

Wednesday PM

I napped for about 2 hours today, then just laid around the rest of the day. No nausea, just a little heartburn.

I'm going to work tomorrow for the first time since 10/21. They are filmimg an info-mercial for the shopping center I ride at, so I may get to be on TV. I have to be at work at 12:00 instead of 2:00, but they said if I got tired, I could just work 8 hours, and go home at 8:00 instead of 10:00PM. We shall see how it goes. I'm heading for bed now.

Wednesday AM

First thing in the morning is the time to have chemo. I was there at 8:15 for blood draw, and signed in at the infusion center at 9:30, when they opened. They called me back at 9:45, and I was done by 12:00 noon.

I still have all my hair. I expect that to change by next week.

I'm off to take a nap and sleep off the pre-meds.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

Tuesday

Well, the pasture is just about ready. Amy and I finished putting up the insulators, and the electric "Rope". We cut back all the scrub trees, and tall grass along the fence. We set the fence charger on a post, and began to connect the ground wire to the charger, but it was too dark to finish. On Friday, we plan on hauling 3 of the horses down to the farm and finish connecting the hot rope. Saturday we will bring the rest of the horses down, and finish anything left to do.

Tomorrow morning, I need to be at MDACC at 8:00 AM for a blood draw, and my treatment is scheduled for 10:00. Mike is taking me. I still have all my hair, but I don't expect to be able to say that next week. Mu tumor is shrinking. I won't see a Dr again till 11/21, but my treatment seems to be working. YEAH!!!

Monday, November 5, 2007

Monday

This has been a busy day. Imade a trip to Wal-Mart, then drove to work to turn in a key someone needed. About 3:00 I met Amy, and we headed out to the farm to work on the fence. We should have it finished tomorrow. We broke the only drill bit that we had that was the right size for what we were doing. We strung up the hot wire 3/4 of the way around the field, and drove the ground rods into the ground. All that is left to do, is put up the last of the insulators, string the wire, and connect the fence charger. We are planning on moving 3 horses on Friday, and the last 3 on Saturday. It may take more time to move all the misc. stuff but the animals will be there, eating grass, and being horses.

Sunday, November 4, 2007

Sunday evening

We spent the day slogging in the mud, rebuilding fence at the farm. The cattle rancher had cut it in 2 places so that the cows could eat the grass in there, but they hadn't,and it is perfect for introducing the horses to the farm.
We now have a several acre pasture, surrounded by fence. We have it all flagged so the horses can see it, and most of the posts have the extended insulators on them. We need to take a cordless drill or 2 out there to drill pilot holes for the wooden post extenders. The posts are weathered ceder, and we couldn't hammer the nails that came with them into the wood. As soon as we have the extenders on all the posts, we can string up the electric 'rope' hot wire, connect the charger, and sink the ground rods. We will be ready to move the horses to the farm. Yeah!!!

I found another small pond on the property. That makes 6. Three are large enough to use a canoe, or row boat, and 3 small ones that the animals can drink from.

Thank-you to Tom, Amy, and Harriot for all your help. Mike and I couldn't have done it without you.

Sunday AM

I'm heading out to fix fence and commune with God in his beautiful outdoors.

I notice, when I put on my deodrent, that the tumor is much smaller than it was just 2 weeks ago. I don't have to "work around" it to cover my armpit. YEAH!!!!

Saturday, November 3, 2007

Saturday PM

Mike and I spent most of today at the farm. We stopped at Tractor Supply to buy ground rods and connector wire to hook up the hot wire over the barbed wire for the horse fence. We also bought 400 feet of horse safe, mesh wire for new fence.
When we got to the farm, we needed to figure out where to start. We decided to lay out the area where we planned to string a temporary barbed wire fence line, drove in the stakes, and walked the line of ceder posts we were planning on putting the fence up on, when we decided we would take down some fence that wasn't needed, and recycle the posts, This took most of the day. We met our leaser, who runs cattle on the place, and he told us a bit about the history of the place, and why there is one picture on the google earth site where it looks like a dust bowl in the middle of the farm. That was taken while they were digging out another pond, and spreading the dirt out to make a raised area for building a house. While we were talking to Bruno, the cattle rancher, we noticed an area between the barn and the front of the property, that is almost totally enclosed in fence, with it's own small pond for water, that we only need to run the hot wire around, to move the horses out there.
We are soooo excited!!! First thing in the morning, we are heading out there to walk the fence, and start to put the insulates on the posts for the hot wire. When that is done, we can start moving the animals, their feed, and all that jazz out to the farm. Wooo Hooo!!!

Boy am I glad I can get an extra hours sleep tonight, cause I'm exhausted!

Barn pics

These are a few of the pictures I took yesterday. The one is of some used steel beams, about 20 feet long, sitting in the grass. I think they can be used for building a stable, or a shed. We shall see.

Friday

Well, today has been busy. I made it to the farm about 3:30, after stoping at Lowes, and Tractor Supply. I didn't buy fence posts, cause I didn't want to have to unload them by myself, but I did buy most of the rest of the fencing stuff we will need.

Mike made it to the house about the same time I arrived at the farm. He is off playing cards.

I'm too tired to go. I took more pictures of the barn at the farm and pulled the skiff out of the weeds, to see what kind of shape it is in.

Thursday PM

Had a busy day. Took the Vibe to get it inspected, and found out that the mechanic I took it to on Tuesday to get the oil changed and a running light fixed, who sold me 4 new tires, and a lifetime alignment, forgot to fix the light. I paid the guy at the inspection place to fix the light, and called the first place. They said if I brought the receipt in from the other place they would reimburse me. You can bet I will, first thing in the morning. I switched out the Vibe for the truck, got it inspected, and then took the Bronco in. The place I had my work done on Tuesday doesn't offer state safety inspections. The place I took the truck and Vibe to, can't inspect anything older than 1996, and the Bronco is a 1995. Took it to another place where I've had it inspected for years, and the first day of the new month, they don't have the new stickers. So I had to take it to a third place, where I finally got it inspected. YEAH!!! All three are good for the next year.
I'm still feeling good. I think I'm running on the pre-med steroids, but if they can keep me feeling well enough to get some work done, that is all to the good. I'm heading to Tractor Supply and the farm in the morning, to pick up and drop off fencing materials. I 'm hoping to start on the fences this weekend.
mike will be home this afternoon. YeaH

Thursday AM

I'm feeling better today. No additional nausea. I didn't sleep well last night, but am feeling good today.
I may drive out to the farm by way of Tractor Supply and Lowes, to pick up fence materials.
