It was AMy's turn to feed the horses. Here is what she sent me. enjoy

K, just so's ya know, feeding after dark is a BITCH! It was pitch -
PITCH - black out. Raven was first up - no problem, since Shiloh was
fending everyone else off. Shiloh came up next, then the Nipper.
Birdie.... well, the Bird was NASTY. Pushy, lunging ahead to get the
bucket, generally ignoring my increasingly growly warnings... after
the smacking, then after ANOTHER smacking, he settled down and walked
behind me instead of on TOP of me... although he was WAY behind me. He
got lots of praise for straightening up, and a bucket too! Rosie was
very dainty about the whole affair, but Indy wouldn't come near me.
NuhUH.
"Cows....COWS!!!!!! OMG, they're all over there by the gate! OMG, I
can't go over THERE!!! Sure, you put the halter on while I watch
them cows, make sure they don't get us...
What?!?!? I gotta go over there? Are you CRAZY lady? They're gonna
get... wait a minute. They just ran away from me. Hmmm. Hey! they ran
away again! COOL. Take THAT, you dumb cows! OMG, HURRY before they
come back!"
What a freaking GOOBER.
I also HIGHLY recommend turning off the fence, as they WILL hit the
wire going through the gate. Didn't happen tonight, but I'm sure it
will. Everyone ate very well, and quickly. Rave had a little left over
as did Shi and Nip, but it was mere handfuls. Indy was very distressed
when he went out first, and those sneaky beastly COWS were still
hanging around... but Birdie was VERY good going back out - his nose
didn't poke past my shoulder even once, and he got lots of good boys.
Rosie just stood there when I pulled her halter off.
The ferals were messy but very calm. I think Annie hissed once, and I
changed out everyone's food and water. Nermy was perched atop "her"
hay. She wasn't inclined to come down to see me, but she was glad for
some loves and hugs, seemed very relaxed.
Um, did I mention it was REALLY dark? That little moonglower can
really cast some light - I hung it by the feeding stations and had
enough light to avoid the roll of fence by the gate (gotta move THAT
soon) but we "got'er done" and the kids seem to have caught on to the
routine and knew they had to eat fast.
I also tried to get the bigger stuff out of the trailer, you should be
able to load a horse with little effort.
