update on Wednesday...

We got to MDACC right on time and I got my blood drawn in a timely fashion. Mike and Andy went on to St Luke's and got him checked in. He was scheduled for 10:30, but they were backed up in the recovery room, so they didn't come for him until 2:00 in the afternoon! He was allowed nothing by mouth since midnight the night before, so was a bit cranky, as you can imagine.
I went to the patient advocates office, and filed a complaint about the long day in the ER on Saturday. I praised the people working there, as they were fantastic, but there weren't enough of them to get things done in a timely fashion. What should have taken no longer than 3 hours, took 12. Most of that was sitting and waiting.

My Dr's appointment went well. He confirmed what I had suspected, the tumors are already shrinking, according to the CT scan done on Saturday, as compared to the one done on May 22. He was pleased, and seemed a little surprised, as he hadn't planned on repeating the ct scan until my next chemo. I was scheduled for chemo at 2:00, but they were backed up and I didn't get taken back till nearly 3:00, so I wasn't finished until 7:15, or so. The pre-treatment meds include diphenhydramine, which makes me very sleepy, so I drowsed through my treatment.
