update...10/28/09

Met my neurosurgeon today. He is scheduling me for tests next Tuesday, repeat CT scans of my Chest and abdomen as well as others to try and track the source of my blood clots. This is important because as long as there is anything in my brain, I'm at risk of bleeding there from bloodthinners.
I'll meet with my medical oncologist, discuss lung tumors, and changes in Chemotherapy. I'm scheduled for gamma ray treatment on 11/9/09. This is a day "surgery". Barring any problems, I'll be home the same day, with 4 small holes around my head, under band aids, from the positioning frame. I'll be followed up with MRIs at least every 90 days for at least a year. Many advantages to this treatment include the fact it can be repeated, if necessary, can be followed up with open procedure later, if necessary, and is so noninvasive.

I had been having trouble with itching of the skin, so my steroids were reduced to 3 times a day instead of 4.

On other notes, we have caught up on rainfall here. The ponds are full, and mud is everywhere. Due to the rain, we still have furniture in our storage container, that needs moved into the house. We are dogging the sellers of our house about various issues, and hope to have all resolved soon. I'm still going to file with the BBB...

We hooked up the clothes washer, and have run it through a full cycle, but the dryer is still in the barn. I'm slowly getting boxes unpacked, and the contence put away...
