...shock wearing off...

The shock is wearing off after getting the news from the dr at MDACC. I'm ready to get started fighting this. They want to send me home as soon as they figure out how to manage my pain at home. I'll have portable oxygen, that is the easy part... I've been sleeping sitting up. They want to send a hospital bed home for me, but there isn't room...

The drugs for pain make me very spacey...I just drift off in the middle of a sentence.

We will grit our teeth with you and get down to business! You did so well with the first go-round, I expect you to do well with this go round. Eat like a pig, keep your resources (mental and physical) high, and don't be afraid to ask for help! You will beat the average!!! And it goes without saying, I will keep saying my prayers!

Laura, give me a call anytime you want to talk. You know I don't care how spacey you are - I might not even notice. Remember Sue and Rosie! Hang in there! Lois

Us older heifers don't know how to give up and "take the easy route". I expect you to fight tooth and nail, mane and hoof. I only met you in person the one time at RF Spring event and must say you are everything everyone had told me. One heck of a woman.

Thank-you for your kind words. I'm sleeping in my own bed for only the 2-3rd night since may 30th. I have 2, 30 degree wedge pillows on my bed, so that I can sleep sitting up. I have the good pain drugs... It's all good...

Wedge pillows and recliners are a gal's best friend. I spent months that way healing from surgeries. Still have a tendency to pile up enough pillows to cover an elephant in order to sleep sometimes. Tonight is not a sleeping night here apparently.
