I went to MDACC today to get the ball rolling. I'm going to meet with my oncologist tomorrow, at about 5:00 PM. I don't know when he will start my treatment, but it will be weekly treatments with one drug for 12 weeks, followed by 4 weekly treatments with another drug, then surgery, and maybe more chemo and/or radiation. There will be more tests before chemo starts.
I had a heart scan today, at St. Luke's, ordered by the KS oncologist. I told the technician that I was transferring to MDACC, and he gave me a copy of the images to take with me. When I was finished at MDACC, I called KS and canceled my Chemo for tomorrow. That was easier than I thought it would be. I'm comfortable with my decision, and looking forward to getting started.

Hey there! Just stopping by to say hello, and you are in my thoughts.
Did the lab get all your info to the dr's?
When my mom was going through ovarian cancer treatments, my dad carried around a folder with all the important info in it; what she was taking, what it did, who she was seeing, a calendar with appointments, timelines and milestones, and an ever changing list of questions and answers. He wasn't shy about getting results. He was gracious and understanding, but persistant as well. The folder went from being a rather small thing to one of those trapper keepers, =-) So, go straight for the trapper keeper, =-)
If I can do anything to help, let me know, and know that I am thinking of you, and sending up prayers on a regular basis.
Hey - my mom has one of "those" folders too! Comes in handy if you feel yucky and someone besides Mike is with you - just hand the nurse your folder...
KS gave my 2 folders full of information that i've been carrying around and adding to. i want to get something more stable. thanks for the suggestion of a trapper/ keeper. Retail therapy is always high on my list. ;-D
