Monday update

Happy Birthday to my Mom.

We spent the weekend working at the farm. It was so nice to have the house to retreat to when it got too hot. We still couldn't use the toilets, or shower in the house, as they need to install a breaker for the septic system. That is on the agenda for today. There are several damaged places they need to fix inside the house as well, and the telephone company is sending someone out to give an estimate for running a land line for computer access. We will be taking a step back to dial up, until DSL becomes available in the boondocks. The mobile home people will also be installing the skirting around the house. That should finish everything up. Daughter got her everyday dishes out of the barn, washed them, and put them away in the kitchen.

We spent early Sunday morning chasing the neighbors cows off of our property, and the rest of the morning, and early afternoon repairing the barbed wire fence between our property and the property to our NW. I wish I could have seen the cows when they tried to come back across the fence...

The trenches are dug for the conduit for the well, and the waterline to the storage barn. I tried to figure out what I needed to buy to complete these 2 jobs, but husband was mowing, and I kept getting too hot, so, though I pulled out a bunch of used PVC pipe, I never finished figuring out what I needed to buy... I guess I'll try again today.

My skin is almost normal again. I've lost about 11 lbs on my diet too. WHoo Hoo! I heard back on testing Indy, and I can go back to work as soon as I get shoes put on him. He passed with flying colors!!!

I'm including several pictures of my skin as it healed, and the cake for my party, as well as one of the house.
