I'm back home on the farm. I'm feeling good. I helped feed and put the animals up for the night.
The lost husband saga was a mis-communication between the nurse and Mike. She told him where to wait, then didn't remember to tell him when we left the Gamma Ray Knife area, and was sending people to look for him in the wrong place. He finally came back to the recovery area on his own.
I'm off chemo till 12/2/09, as they want to keep my blood counts high while I'm on the steroids, and recovering from the radiation. I'll have a repeat MRI on 12/11/09 to see what progress the radiation has had on the tumor. I'll have repeat MRIs every 90 days after that, for the next year, at least, to monitor progress...after the first repeat MRI, they will start weaning me off the steroids.
For now, I'm off the blood thinners, and there were no sign of blood clots in my arms or legs, so no filter placement. I'm looking forward to feeling good enough to get some work done here on the farm during this Chemo break.
