Friday evening

Well, I have clots around my central line. That is why my arm is swollen up. It isn't considered enough of an emergency to remove the line on a Friday. I have to have a shot of an anti-clot drug, twice a day, sub-cutaneously, in my stomach, until they can schedule a time to take it out. I have to call first thing Monday morning and see when they can cut the damn thing out of my arm. I'll miss a day of work, cause they aren't going to want me riding or grooming a horse with a fresh incision in my arm. I'm hoping it can be done on Wednesday, before my chemo, so I don't have to make a second trip.

I have a massage scheduled for Sunday Morning, but I think it will have to wait for next week, after the line is removed.

So when they take the port out, what is the plan for future chemo? They have you scheduled for alot. Will they try the other type of line in the future?

They say that they can do the Taxol without a central line, but will need to put in a new one for the next round, cause the stuff is so caustic, it will burn right through the vein.

I don't know what kind yet.
