Had my 10th treatment today. Only 2 more with Taxol, then a repeat sonogram of the tumor, and a meeting with the oncologist. I'm supposed to start 4 rounds of a mixture of treatments called F.A.C. after that. Each round will be 3 weeks long, treatment week 1, followed by 2 weeks off, to recover. That may change due to the problems with clots. I'll need a port of some kind for that particular mix as whatever the A stands for is very caustic, and can't go directly in to a small vein, like the taxol can. I'm calling the surgeon's office tomorrow to see what they may have come up with.
I had a migraine headache today after my treatment. I think it had more to due with the caffeine I drank yesterday, than the treatment today.
Arm is still swollen. I'm wearing the sleeve as long as I can, taking it off for a short while, and putting it back on. When I first take it off, the swelling is down some, but it quickly returns. I'm still angry that the good Doctor in the E.R. wouldn't order an ultrasound of my arm. I want to know if the clots are still there. I've emailed my nurse, to ask if they can ultrasound my arm when they ultrasound my tumor. I haven't heard back due to the holiday.
